Write for us
Prime City Briefing welcomes considered pitches about making more of the resources already present in city life. We are interested in clear, self-contained pieces that help a general reader understand a choice, habit, shared place or reuse idea without requiring specialist expertise.
What makes a good pitch
Send a short description of the idea, the main point you would make and why it is useful to this readership. Strong proposals have a distinct focus, explain the practical choices involved and do not rely on unverified claims, invented examples or advice that requires professional judgement.
Topics to propose
We welcome ideas about shared spaces, reuse, local know-how, city routines and resourceful ways to use what is already available. Please tell us what makes your angle different from a general overview and what a reader should understand by the end.
How to send it
Send pitches through the Contact page and select the editorial question option, then explain that you are proposing a contribution. A proposal is not a guarantee of publication; please do not send a complete piece unless it has been requested.
Use what the city already offers
A resourceful city is not built from purchases alone. We look at the places, materials and shared knowledge already within reach.
